Juliette Music Chamber Orchestra

Juliette Music Chamber Orchestra (JMCO)  is a string orchestra for young, passionate musicians who aspire to grow as ensemble players. Through focused rehearsals and guided performances, members develop solid technique, refined musicianship, and essential orchestral skills—learning to listen, collaborate, and perform as one unified musical voice.

We welcome all strings players to join us.

The JMCO rehearses at its orchestra studio on every Saturday in Cheras, Selangor  from 2.30pm – 5.30pm. 

Annual Activities:

  • A few concerts a year include our annual concert, outreach concerts.

  • Other concerts include annual music camp, tour, and perform in music festival

  • Special workshop on educational topics presented by scholars and renowned guest speakers

This is your call! We are holding auditions to form a brand new, vibrant Chamber Orchestra. A space created for you, where passion, learning, and positive energy come together to make incredible music.

It doesn’t matter if you’re an enthusiastic beginner or have already been on this journey for a while. We are looking for commitment, a desire to learn, and above all, a huge amount of enthusiasm for making music together.

🚨 Important! Places are strictly limited. To ensure a cohesive and quality ensemble, we have specific numbers for each section. Don’t miss this chance!

REQUIREMENTS

Open for violin, viola, cello, double bass.

 

  • Approximate minimum standard Trinity College London or ABRSM Grade 6 or equivalent. However, please note that Trinity College London and ABRSM grades are a guideline only and have no bearing on audition results or ensemble placement;

  • Pass our audition by submitting audition videos;

  • All players must have a private instrumental teacher and are taking weekly lessons on the instrument that they are applying.

     

HOW TO APPLY

  1. Fill in and submit the Online Application HERE;

  2. Please prepare 2 or 3 short pieces (3-5 minutes) that shows your musicality and also a Major Scale (any key in 2 or 3 octaves) and arpeggios.

  3. All applicants have to submit the audition video by uploading the video files to Youtube as an Unlisted Video and email the link to us.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  1. Fill in and submit the Online Application;

  2. You will be contacted by us after we receive and review your application;

  3. Upon successful on your audition, you will be prompted to make payment.

     

FEES

  • RM600 / Term per player (per Term is 3 months);

  • All new players are required to pay a one-time RM100 Application & Assessment Fee which comes with our JMCO T-shirt; 

  • Please note that each Term is inclusive of public holidays and Term 4 ends in mid December.
